About the Role

You will be responsible for creating high-quality visual assets and artwork for video games, collaborating with the development team to bring game concepts to life. This role combines artistic creativity, technical skills, and teamwork contributing to character design, environment art, UI/UX graphics, and animation support. You will translate design briefs, storyboards, and game design requirements into polished game visuals that enhance gameplay and player experience.

Key Responsibilities

Concept Art & Design
Create concept art for characters, environments, props, and UI elements based on game design documents.
Develop style guides, mood boards, and visual references to ensure consistent art direction across the game.
Collaborate with game designers, UX/UI designers, and art leads to finalize visual concepts.

Asset Creation & Production
Produce 2D / 3D game assets character sprites, environment art, textures, background art, UI elements, icons, and in-game graphics.Ensure all assets meet technical specifications for game engines, adhering to resolution, format, and performance guidelines.

Collaborative Development & Feedback Integration

Work closely with game developers, animators, and designers to integrate assets into the game engine seamlessly.Accept and incorporate feedback to refine artwork, improve visual quality, and maintain consistency with game aesthetics.

UI/UX Graphics & Game Interface
Design user interface (menus, buttons, HUD, icons) and game interface elements that are visually appealing and player-friendly.
Collaborate with UX/UI designers to ensure user interface aligns with overall game design and art style.

Quality Assurance & Optimization
Review assets for visual quality, consistency, and performance.
Optimize assets for performance efficiency while maintaining aesthetic standards.
Ensure compatibility across multiple platforms, devices, and screen resolutions.

Documentation & Version Control
Maintain organized documentation of art assets, naming conventions, and file versions.
Coordinate asset handoffs between art, development, and QA teams, ensuring smooth workflow and tracking changes.

Qualifications & Experience
Bachelors degree or diploma in Graphic Design, Illustration, Game Art, Animation, Fine Arts, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
25 years of experience as a game artist, concept artist, UI/UX artist, or related role in the gaming or game-development industry.
Strong portfolio showcasing character design, environment art, UI graphics, and game artwork.
Proficiency with graphic design and game art tools (e.g. Photoshop, Illustrator, Spine, Blender, or industry-relevant software).
Good understanding of game art pipelines and technical constraints for game engines.
Strong artistic sense, creativity, and ability to translate game design into compelling visuals.
Good communication and collaboration skills to work within a multi-disciplinary development team.
Attention to detail, ability to receive feedback constructively, and adapt work accordingly.
Ability to manage multiple assets and projects under deadlines, with good organizational skills.
