Job Title - Planning Engineer

About the Role
We are seeking a detail-oriented Planning Engineer to develop, monitor, and control project schedules, ensuring timely delivery of construction and real estate development projects. This role plays a key part in project planning, progress tracking, and coordination with internal and external stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

Project Planning & Scheduling
Develop detailed project schedules using Primavera P6 or similar planning tools.
Establish work breakdown structures (WBS), activity sequencing, and milestone planning.
Update and maintain baseline and revised schedules throughout the project lifecycle.
Progress Monitoring & Reporting
Track project progress against approved schedules and identify potential delays.
Prepare weekly and monthly progress reports, dashboards, and look-ahead schedules.
Conduct schedule variance analysis and recommend corrective actions.
Coordination & Integration
Coordinate with project managers, engineers, consultants, and contractors to align schedules.
Integrate inputs from design, procurement, construction, and approvals into the master schedule.
Support recovery planning and acceleration strategies when required.
Claims & Delay Analysis Support
Assist in delay analysis, time impact assessments, and extension of time (EOT) submissions.
Maintain records required for claims, variations, and contractual time-related matters.
Support preparation of planning-related contractual documentation.
Risk & Schedule Control
Identify schedule risks and constraints and propose mitigation measures.
Monitor critical path activities and float consumption.
Support continuous improvement in planning processes and controls.

Qualifications & Experience
Bachelors degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field.
4–8 years of experience as a Planning Engineer in construction or real estate development projects.
Proficiency in Primavera P6, MS Project, and advanced MS Excel.
