About the Role
We are looking for a skilled and detail-oriented Site Engineer to supervise on-site construction activities, ensure technical compliance, coordinate with contractors, and support the successful execution of development projects. The role involves overseeing daily operations, monitoring site progress, ensuring quality control, and resolving technical issues to maintain project timelines and standards. The ideal candidate should have strong engineering expertise, hands-on site experience, and the ability to work in a fast-paced construction environment.
Key Responsibilities
Site Supervision & Execution
Oversee day-to-day site activities, ensuring work is carried out as per approved drawings and specifications.
Coordinate with contractors, subcontractors, and site teams to ensure timely project execution.
Monitor the progress of construction and report deviations or delays to project management.
Technical Oversight
Review drawings, plans, and technical documents prior to implementation.
Provide engineering guidance to resolve technical issues on-site.
Ensure proper installation of materials and adherence to engineering standards.
Quality Control & Safety
Conduct regular inspections to ensure work quality meets industry and project standards.
Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations.
Identify and rectify any non-conformities or site-related risks.
Material & Resource Management
Coordinate material deliveries and ensure proper usage and storage on-site.
Maintain records of material consumption and report shortfalls or discrepancies.
Work closely with procurement and project teams on material requirements.
Documentation & Reporting
Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly site progress reports.
Maintain updated site documentation, including inspection records, logs, and checklists.
Assist in preparing method statements, work schedules, and technical submissions.
Coordination & Communication
Liaise with architects, consultants, and project managers to clarify technical details.
Attend site meetings and provide updates on progress, issues, and corrective actions.
Support smooth communication among all stakeholders to ensure work continuity.
Qualifications & Experience
Bachelors degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
36 years of experience as a Site Engineer within construction or real estate development.
Strong understanding of construction methods, materials, and engineering drawings.
Experience managing contractors and supervising site activities.
Knowledge of safety regulations, quality standards, and site management practices.
Proficiency in AutoCAD, MS Office, and project management tools.
Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities.
Excellent communication and organisational skills.
