About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Electrical QA/QC Manager to lead quality assurance and quality control activities for a 220 MW Combined Cycle Power Plant (CCPP) project in Gabon. Independent Power Plants (IPP), Combined Cycle Power Plants (CCPP), Gas Power Plants, or Thermal Power Plants, with strong exposure to EPC project execution and quality management.
Key Responsibilities
Develop, implement, and monitor Electrical QA/QC procedures, inspection plans, and quality documentation.
Ensure compliance with project specifications, applicable codes, international standards, and client quality requirements.
Lead inspection and testing activities for electrical systems, ensuring work is executed in accordance with approved procedures.
Review and approve Inspection & Test Plans (ITPs), Method Statements, Quality Control Procedures, and technical documentation.
Coordinate inspections with clients, consultants, third-party inspectors, and project stakeholders.
Supervise electrical QA/QC engineers and inspectors, ensuring adherence to quality standards.
Monitor installation quality for electrical equipment including transformers, switchgear, GIS/AIS systems, MCCs, motors, generators, bus ducts, cable systems, lighting, earthing, and protection systems.
Ensure proper documentation of inspections, NCRs, corrective actions, punch lists, and quality records.
Verify testing, pre-commissioning, and commissioning activities for electrical systems.
Requirements
Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline.
Minimum 10+ years of experience in Electrical QA/QC within large-scale power generation projects.
Proven experience on 220 MW or larger Combined Cycle Power Plants (CCPP).
Strong background in IPP, CCPP, Gas Power Plants, or Thermal Power Plants.
Deep understanding of electrical installation, inspection, testing, pre-commissioning, and commissioning activities.
Experience with EPC project environments is highly preferred.
Strong knowledge of international electrical standards and quality management practices.
Experience managing QA/QC teams on major industrial or power projects.
Ability to coordinate with multidisciplinary teams, clients, consultants, and contractors.
Extensive exposure to Combined Cycle Power Plant (CCPP) projects.
