The Job
In this role, you will be responsible for a range of accounting and compliance tasks, including financial statement analysis, client interviews, preparation of client bills, and support to senior management in client management. Your technical expertise will be vital in managing special projects, tax compliance, financial analysis, and business system reviews. You will also contribute to business development efforts by identifying and capitalising on opportunities to expand our service range and foster profitability.

Responsibilities:
- Analyse and interpret client financial statements, identifying areas of concern.
- Interview clients and attend meetings with managers and partners as needed.
- Prepare client bills, accounts, and relevant financial statements for review.
- Manage special projects such as financial analysis, ATO reviews, and tax matters.
- Identify and develop business opportunities to contribute to firm growth.
- Maintain compliance with practice policies and processes.
- Provide leadership, mentoring, and support to junior team members.
- Collaborate with colleagues to ensure on-time and high-quality project completion.
Job Requirements:
- You are located near Blackburn, VIC
- Bachelor's degree in Commerce/Business with an emphasis in Accounting.
- Currently undertaking ICAA/CA program.
- 1-2 years of industry experience preferred.
- Experience in a leadership position.
- Strong familiarity with ethical and compliance issues.
- Proficiency in APS, Virtual Cabinet, XERO, QuickBooks, MYOB, Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and Word.
- Excellent communication, time management, and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and within a team.
- Proven relationship-building skills and professional presentation.
