We are currently partnering with a leading, independently-owned accounting and advisory firm to recruit an experienced Transaction Advisory Services (TAS) Manager or Senior Manager for their Sydney office.

Their TAS team specialises in providing expert advice on critical transactions including mergers, acquisitions, divestments and IPOs. The team is known for its practical, hands-on approach and cross-border transaction knowledge.

The Role

As a Manager/Senior Manager in the Transaction Advisory Services team, you will:

  • Lead buy-side and sell-side due diligence on M&A transactions
  • Work on IPO assignments as an Investigating Accountant
  • Manage advisory projects for corporate and private equity clients
  • Plan assignments, including risk assessment and strategy development
  • Review and interpret financial statements and other financial data
  • Prepare detailed financial analysis highlighting key business drivers and performance indicators
  • Draft comprehensive yet concise due diligence reports
  • Provide coaching and mentoring to junior team members
  • Participate in business development and networking activities

Experience & Qualifications

Essential:

  • Significant accounting/auditing experience with exposure to transaction due diligence
  • Strong understanding of financial statement preparation and interpretation
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Critical thinking with analytical, logical and problem-solving abilities
  • Commercial awareness and professional judgement
  • Well-developed organisational and project management capabilities
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and PowerPoint

Desirable:

  • Relevant qualifications in Business/Commerce, Accounting or Finance
  • Professional accounting accreditation
