Intermediate Accountant

We are looking for an ambitious Intermediate Accountant to provide support to the financial department by managing daily accounting tasks. You will be part of a team of professionals working to maintain order and transparency for the company’s finances.

Responsibilities

• The role will be to support your Senior Client Manager in getting the work completed 
• Preparation of Business Advisory Reports Preparation of BAS's, Financial Statements, and Tax Returns for various entity structures 
• Managing individual workflow, attention to detail and meeting workflow timelines 
• Assisting in the preparation of strategic Tax Planning Advice 
• Proficiency in Division 7A regulations, taxation implications for Companies/Trusts, and a solid understanding of GST and FBT.
• Assist with other accounting projects and tax prep

Requirements and skills

• Great attention to detail
• Minimum of 2 years of experience working in a public practice firm is essential
• Ability to prepare Financial Statements and tax Returns end to end Experience using Xero, XPM and FYI Document Suite is highly favourable
• CA or CPA qualification preferred or currently pursuing
• Good with numbers and figures and an analytical acumen
• Good understanding of accounting and financial reporting principles and practices
• BSc/Ba in accounting, finance or relevant field
