THE OPPORTUNITY
Due to their continued growth, they are seeking two experienced Senior Business Services Tax Accountants to join their dynamic team. These roles offer excellent career progression opportunities in a supportive environment where your technical expertise will be valued and developed.
Position 1: Business Services Tax Accountant with strong compliance focus Position 2: Business Services Tax Accountant with SMSF specialisation (minimum 2 years SMSF experience with multiple clients required)
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Manage a diverse portfolio of clients across various entity structures including individuals, companies, trusts, partnerships and SMSFs
- Prepare and lodge tax returns and financial statements with high attention to detail
- Calculate and advise on Capital Gains Tax (CGT) and Fringe Benefits Tax (FBT) matters
- Conduct thorough reconciliations to ensure accuracy of financial data
- Build and maintain strong client relationships through professional and timely communication
- Research complex technical issues to provide accurate, informed advice
- Collaborate with team members to deliver exceptional client service
REQUIRED SKILLS & ATTRIBUTES
- CPA/CA qualification with minimum 5 years' experience in a Business Services Accountant role
- Strong technical taxation and accounting knowledge with proven business experience
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to build rapport with clients
- High attention to detail and commitment to accuracy
- Proficiency in Xero and aptitude for adopting new technologies
- Self-motivated with the ability to work both independently and collaboratively
- For SMSF position: Demonstrated experience managing SMSF clients (minimum 2 years)
