The Job

As an Intermediate Accountant, you will be responsible for preparing accurate financial statements and income tax returns across various entities. Your role will involve assisting clients in fulfilling their GST obligations, including the preparation of quarterly BAS returns. You'll demonstrate your proficiency in handling tax matters such as Division 7A loans, fringe benefits tax, CGT events, SBE, and depreciation concessions. Alongside these responsibilities, you'll cultivate enduring relationships with clients, offering them expert advice and solutions to their financial challenges.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare accurate financial statements and income tax returns for various entities.

  • Assist clients in fulfilling GST obligations, including the preparation of quarterly BAS returns.

  • Expertly manage complex tax matters like Division 7A loans, fringe benefits tax, CGT events, SBE, and depreciation concessions.

  • Build and maintain strong, trusted advisor-client relationships.

  • Collaborate effectively with internal stakeholders to provide comprehensive financial solutions.


Job Requirements

  • You are located near Camberwell, VIC 

  • At least 1 year of experience at a Chartered Accounting firm, demonstrating a solid understanding of accounting principles.

  • Has an ongoing pursuit of CA or CPA qualifications.

  • A strong desire for continuous learning and skill enhancement.

  • Exceptional multitasking abilities to manage diverse tasks efficiently.

  • Client-centric mindset with a problem-solving orientation.

  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.

  • Hands-on experience with Xero, Class Super, Xero Practice Manager, and Office 365.
