Overview

An exciting opportunity exists for a Senior Associate or Manager to join a high-performing Forensic Accounting team within a leading professional services firm. About the Role

As a Senior Associate or Manager in the Brisbane Forensic Accounting team, you will work on a broad range of forensic engagements with a primary focus on Dispute Advisory assignments. You will have the opportunity to develop your career while working with a motivated team on complex and interesting cases.

Recent project examples include:

- Assessment of loss and damage for class action proceedings

- Valuation of minority interest in large Queensland-based manufacturer for Shareholder Oppression proceedings

- Assessment of economic loss in large insurance litigation claims

- Complex valuations for family law and estate disputes

- Dispute resolution for retail chain acquisition

- Multi-year transaction review for misreporting and alleged fraud investigation

Key Responsibilities

- Provide advice on diverse forensic engagements, including:

- Business valuations

- Commercial loss and damage claims

- Insurance events

- Accounting reviews and investigations

- Build and maintain key stakeholder relationships

- Provide trusted expert advice to clients

- Conduct detailed review and analysis of business financial performance

- Research and analyze business, industry and economic data

- Participate in business development and practice management activities

- Provide coaching, mentoring and training to team members

Required Skills and Experience

- CA/CPA/CFA qualification

- Significant forensic accounting experience, preferably in public practice

- Experience preparing valuation reports and/or commercial loss and damage reports for disputes

- Strong analytical skills with lateral and critical thinking capability

- High attention to detail and accuracy

- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
