Overview

An exciting opportunity exists for an Associate or Senior Associate to join a high-performing Corporate Tax team within a leading professional services firm. About the Role

You will be joining a supportive and dynamic Corporate Tax team that provides comprehensive solutions across all aspects of corporate taxation. The team specializes in helping clients navigate complex challenges including tax audits, international tax issues, corporate governance obligations, and mergers and acquisitions.

This position offers:

Key Responsibilities

- Prepare and review company and trust tax returns for diverse clients

- Research and assist with tax consulting advice, including:

- Tax consolidation

- Tax treaties

- Hybrid mismatches

- Controlled Foreign Companies

- Withholding taxes

- Thin capitalisation

- Permanent establishments

- AMITs

- Support M&A activities, including tax structuring and due diligence services

- Research and prepare advice for international tax issues

- Assist clients with ATO reviews, governance matters and audits

- Liaise with the ATO to obtain rulings for clients

- Research and analyze technical tax issues and prepare tax reports

- Contribute to business development initiatives and proposals

Required Skills and Experience

- University degree in Accounting/Finance, Business/Commerce, Legal or related discipline

- Significant corporate tax professional services experience

- Strong understanding of Australian taxation of entities

- Knowledge of tax effect accounting calculations

- Analytical skills and inquisitive mindset

- Experience in assisting and coaching junior team members

- Demonstrated strong work ethic and commitment to client service
