Role Overview:
The Senior Credit Analyst specializing in Fixed Income Securities is responsible for evaluating and monitoring the credit risk of fixed-income instruments, including corporate bonds, government securities and structured products. This role involves conducting comprehensive financial and qualitative analyses, staying abreast of market and economic developments, creating structured financial products and providing actionable insights to support investment decisions and portfolio management strategies.
Key Responsibilities
Credit Risk Assessment:
- Conduct detailed analysis of issuer financials, capital structures, and debt-servicing capacities.
- Evaluate macroeconomic indicators (e.g.,interest rates, inflation) and assess their impact on credit investments.
Financial Modeling:
- Build and maintain advanced financial models for cash flow forecasting, default probability estimation, and scenario analysis.
- Use models to identify mispriced opportunities and optimise risk-adjusted returns.
Portfolio Analysis:
- Actively monitor and evaluate the organisations portfolio ofshort-term credit instrumentsand structured products.
- Support the implementation of strategies to enhance portfolio performance and manage risks.
Monitoring and Reporting:
- Regularly update credit models to reflect changes in market dynamics or issuer performance.
- Prepare detailed credit reports and investment recommendations for internal stakeholders.
Collaboration:
- Work closely with senior leadership and team members to execute and refine credit investment strategies.
- Ensure alignment of all analyses and reports with the organisations credit risk framework.
Qualifications & Work Experience:
- Education: Bachelors in Finance, Economics, or related fields (CFA/FRM preferred).
- Experience: 5+ years incredit risk analysis, financial modeling, or portfolio management.
