Are you passionate about equity research and financial analysis? We are looking for a dynamic and analytical professional to join our team as Assistant Manager Equity Research. In this role, you will play a key part in delivering high-quality research across assigned sectors, supporting investment decisions, and engaging with clients and senior stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

  • Review and refine equity research reports prepared by junior analysts to ensure accuracy, depth, and consistency.
  • Lead or supervise the construction of financial models, conduct scenario analysis, and validate valuation assumptions.
  • Develop clear, well-supported investment theses by combining company analysis with macro insights.
  • Support client engagement through presentations, investor calls, and written commentary.
  • Mentor and guide junior analysts to strengthen research capabilities.
  • Coordinate earnings season deliverables, sector reviews, and thematic pieces aligned with the research strategy.

Technical Competencies

  • Strong expertise in equity valuation and financial modelling.
  • Proficiency in financial statement analysis.
  • Solid understanding of sector trends and macroeconomic factors.
  • Market awareness and ability to interpret key drivers.
  • Excellent communication and report writing skills.
  • Advanced skills in Excel, PowerPoint, Bloomberg/Capital IQ; exposure to Python, SQL, or Power BI is an advantage.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, or a related field.
  • CFA qualification or progress toward CFA is an added advantage.
  • 3 to 5 years of experience in equity research, investment research, or financial analysis.
  • Strong exposure to financial modelling and valuation techniques.
  • Experience engaging with institutional clients or senior stakeholders is a plus.
