Engineering Manager

Cakum Global is recruiting an Engineering Manager for our client based near Lae, Papua New Guinea.

Role Overview:
A senior leadership role responsible for overseeing all engineering, infrastructure, and technical services across a large-scale agribusiness operation. This role ensures asset reliability, project delivery, and compliance across construction, electrical, maintenance, and support functions.

Key Highlights

• Lead engineering operations across construction, electrical, maintenance, workshop, and security teams
• Oversee capital projects, infrastructure development, and asset management
• Ensure high standards in safety, compliance, and operational reliability
• Manage power systems, including generators and energy efficiency initiatives
• Drive preventative maintenance programs to minimize downtime
• Control budgets, project costs, and identify efficiency improvements

Ideal Candidate

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Civil, Electrical, Mechanical, or related)
• 15+ years' experience in engineering, infrastructure, or maintenance leadership
• Strong experience managing multi-disciplinary teams and large-scale projects
• Proven financial and project management capability
• Experience in agriculture, food, or industrial environments highly regarded
• Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
