Manager Safety & Quality MRO

Cakum Global is recruiting a Manager – Safety & Quality (MRO) for our aviation client based in Port Moresby, Papua New Guinea.

Role Overview:
This is a senior aviation safety and compliance role responsible for overseeing the Safety & Quality Management Systems within the MRO division, ensuring alignment with CASA PNG regulations, corporate safety standards, and industry best practices.

Key Highlights

• Lead and manage safety and quality activities across the MRO division
• Conduct safety investigations, audits, hazard assessments, and compliance reviews
• Monitor and respond to internal and external audit findings
• Support implementation of the Safety Management System (SMS) and risk management processes
• Liaise with regulators, management teams, and operational departments on safety matters
• Manage workplace hazard registers, mitigation programs, and safety reporting
• Provide leadership to safety investigators and quality inspectors

Ideal Candidate

• Extensive experience in aviation safety, compliance, and technical operations
• Strong knowledge of CASA regulations and airline safety management systems
• Proven experience in audit management, investigations, and regulatory compliance
• Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management capability
• Ability to operate effectively in a multicultural and dynamic aviation environment
• Results-focused with a strong commitment to safety culture and continuous improvement
