Brisbane Based Defence Project Opportunity 

Our client is a Brisbane based, innovative Defense technology company seeking a well organised, analytical and confident Project Data and Document Manager to support a Naval communications upgrade project. This role offers the room to display your own initiative, skills and ability to coordinate a team successfully so that information is well organised and controlled. 

This is an interesting, high-tech project environment with Defence security requirements that will allow you to also broaden your exposure in technical engineering environments.

Key responsibilities:

The Project Data and Document Manager is responsible for managing, organizing, and maintaining project documentation and data to ensure accuracy, accessibility, and compliance with organisation. This role involves overseeing document control systems, implementing data management best practices, and ensuring proper version control of critical files.

  • Develop and maintain document control procedures, standards, and guidelines.
  • Manage and organise electronic and physical document repositories.
    Ensure proper version control, tracking, and distribution of technical documents, reports, and project records.
  • Implement and oversee data management systems, ensuring data integrity, security, and accessibility.
  • Collaborate with teams to ensure timely submission, review, and approval of documents.
  • Conduct quality checks to ensure documents comply with regulatory, contractual, and company standards.

Your Qualifications & Experience

The successful applicant will ideally have:

    • Experience and the ability to apply best practices in data management and document control.
    • Highly analytical, tech savvy with attention to detail.
    • An ability to develop systems, implement within an organisation and promote consistent, compliant use of processes.
    • Experience with document management and data management tools, systems and software platforms.
    • Understanding of, and experience with, Defence documentation protocols and security classification systems.
    • Australian Citizenship, with eligibility to hold an Australian NV1 security clearance.

An initial 6 month contract, that has the possibility of extension either on this program or other innovative projects for our client, who is on a solid growth trajectory.
