Manager Information Technology

Cakum Global is recruiting a Manager – Information Technology for our client PNG Air based in Port Moresby, Papua New Guinea.

Role Overview:
This role supports the General Manager IT in overseeing the company's IT infrastructure, telecommunications, systems support, and technology operations across the business. The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring reliable, secure, and efficient IT services within a dynamic aviation environment.

Key Highlights

• Support the management of IT systems, telecommunications, and network operations
• Provide technical leadership across hardware, software, and infrastructure support
• Assist in managing IT projects, budgets, vendors, and system upgrades
• Ensure technology systems remain secure, reliable, and operational
• Support staff training, user support, and system troubleshooting
• Maintain IT inventories, user access controls, and network security
• Act as stand-in for the General Manager IT when required

Ideal Candidate

• Degree or equivalent qualification in Information Technology or related field
• Strong experience in IT systems administration and technical support
• Knowledge of networks, hardware, software, and telecommunications systems
• Strong troubleshooting, communication, and stakeholder management skills
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced operational environment
• Experience in aviation or highly regulated industries highly regarded
