To provide strategic leadership and operational oversight for ICT functions, you will architect and modernise the digital infrastructure, manage IT projects to ensure successful delivery within scope, budget, and timeline, lead agile application development, ensure robust and secure IT systems, and deliver exceptional support services to the university community. This role drives innovation, governance, and continuous improvement to enable academic and operational excellence.
Requirements:
- Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field.
- PMP certification.
- Minimum 15 years of progressive experience in ICT operations, including at least 5 years in senior leadership roles within higher education or complex organisational environments.
- Proven track record in leading large-scale digital transformation initiatives, including modernisation of legacy systems, cloud migration, and enterprise architecture implementation.
- Demonstrated ability to manage outsourced IT projects, ensuring delivery within scope, budget, and timeline. Skilled in vendor negotiation and contract management.
- Hands-on experience in agile development methodologies and DevOps practices for application modernisation and continuous integration.
- Experience integrating multi-campus or multi-country enterprise systems and aligning technology platforms across organisational units.
- Strong background in managing complex IT infrastructure (cloud, servers, networks) and implementing cybersecurity frameworks, risk management, and compliance with data protection regulations.
- Experience in ICT budgeting, cost optimisation strategies, and financial planning for technology investments.
- Proven ability to collaborate with academic leaders, administrative units, and external partners to align ICT initiatives with institutional goals.
- Familiarity with emerging technologies such as AI, data analytics, and automation to enhance operational efficiency and student experience.
