Reporting to the Dean, the Curriculum Specialist will be integral in designing, implementing, and managing training programs that enhance the knowledge and skills of the employees. Working closely with the Centre Manager and Centre Executive, the Curriculum Specialist will identify training needs, create learning solutions, and ensure the professional development of the workforce. The role will also encompass various operational and administrative duties, helping to streamline processes and ensure the smooth functioning of day-to-day activities.

The successful candidate will be responsible for the following:

  • Collaborate with the Centre Manager, department heads and HR to identify training needs and skill gaps across the organization.
  • Conduct regular assessments and surveys to evaluate the effectiveness of current training programs and identify areas for improvement.
  • Design and develop training programs and curricula that align with the organizations goals and objectives.
  • Create engaging learning materials, including e-learning modules, training manuals, and multimedia presentations.
  • Stay updated on learning technologies and tools to improve training effectiveness.
  • Implement e-learning platforms and integrate digital tools to provide flexible learning options.
  • Develop and apply strategies to assess the impact and success of training programs.
  • Use performance data to make recommendations and adjustments to training initiatives for ongoing improvement.
  • Work closely with the Centre Manager, Centre Executive, and other L&D professionals to create a collaborative and supportive learning environment and foster positive working relationships with internal and external partners. 
  • Ensure that all training programs meet legal and regulatory compliance standards.
  • Generate and present regular reports on training activities, participant feedback, and outcomes for management review.
  • Manage resources, including budgeting, training materials, and facilities, ensuring that everything is available and organized for training sessions
  • Maintain and update learner records, ensuring accurate tracking of training progress and outcomes.
  • Manage course uploads and other administrative tasks related to the smooth running of training programs and related systems.


The successful candidate should possess the following:

  • Bachelor's degree in Education, Training, Human Resources, or a related field. Certification in instructional design, Learning & Development (L&D), or a related field is advantageous.
  • At least three years of relevant experience in Learning & Development (L&D), instructional design, or training roles.
  • Proven experience in designing, developing, and delivering effective training programs.
  • In-depth understanding of applicable laws, regulations, and industry standards that impact training programs and organizational compliance.
  • Strong knowledge of adult learning principles, instructional design methodologies, and e-learning technologies.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and facilitation skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage projects and organize multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment and work under pressure within tight timelines
  • Proficiency in using Learning Management Systems (LMS) and e-learning authoring tools (e.g., Articulate, Captivate, etc) 
  • Ability to adapt to changing training needs and implement innovative, practical solutions.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with a focus on continuous improvement.
  • Proven leadership and team management skills, with the ability to mentor and guide junior team members.
  • Prior experience in a supervisory or leadership position is highly desirable, particularly in small or cross-functional teams.
