Music Therapist

Responsibilities:

• Provide quality and professional music therapy services in inpatient and day care settings, including group and individual sessions.
• Execute therapy process with patients, including referral, assessment, goal setting, evaluation, termination/discharge.
• Provide clear documentation of patient goals, progress, and summaries.
• Set relevant goals and objectives with patients and their family members.
• Demonstrate knowledge and use of various music therapy methods and techniques.
• Participate in case conferences, team meetings and family meetings as required.
• Initiate new treatment programmes and initiatives to improve patient care.
• Serve as a clinical resource and provide educational opportunities to interdisciplinary team as appropriate.

Requirements:

• Masters or Bachelor's Degree in Music Therapy (or equivalent)
• Registered with the Association for Music Therapy Singapore
• Prior relevant experience is an advantage
• Bilingual and preferably able to communicate in local dialects
• Passion to serve
• Good interpersonal and communication skills
• Knowledge of and proficiency with wide range of music genre
• Proficiency with keyboard, guitar, percussion and vocal ability
