Responsibilities:


  • Collect, correlate, analyse and evaluate all surveillance data for infection control purposes.
  • Establish and implement infection control and employee health programme.
  • Conduct annual competency assessment of staff on infection control practices.
  • Check staff practices in relation to the hospices infection practices and correct any non-conforming practices by reinforcing good clinical practices.
  • Conduct hand hygiene and environmental audit.
  • Implement and conduct in-service education to staff on infection control practices and matters.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of any improved infection control measures as approved by the Infection Control Committee.
  • Provide guidance to staff on infection control matters.
  • Assist in the management of all outbreaks involving the hospice.
  • Organise Infection Prevention and Control Committee meetings and maintain all minutes.
  • Perform any other duties as and when assigned.

Requirements:

  • At least a Diploma in Nursing from the local Polytechnic and registered with Singapore Nursing Board. Post-registration experience in a hospital or hospice setting preferred.
  • Formal infection prevention and control training or appointment as an Infection Prevention and Control Nurse or have Certificate of Accomplishment in Infection Control Committee Lead will be an advantage.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications will be an advantage
