Roles & Responsibilities

  • Manage and develop relationships with customers, particularly across the European and US markets.
  • Understand customers' product requirements and coordinate quotations, costing, sampling and order confirmation.
  • Work closely with customers, the China production team and overseas factories to ensure orders are completed according to agreed specifications, quality standards and delivery schedules.
  • Coordinate the full order process, including product development, fabric and trim sourcing, sample submission, fitting comments, testing, production and shipment.
  • Monitor production progress and proactively address issues relating to product quality, costing, capacity and delivery timelines.
  • Review sales performance, customer requirements and market trends to identify new product and business opportunities.
  • Support the development of seasonal collections and new products in collaboration with the sales, design and product development teams.
  • Prepare and maintain accurate order records, production updates, sales reports and customer documentation.
  • Resolve customer enquiries and order-related issues promptly while maintaining strong customer relationships.
  • Coordinate shipment arrangements and documentation with the production, logistics and warehouse teams.
  • Travel to China and other overseas locations for customer meetings, factory visits and trade exhibitions when required.

Requirements

  • Diploma or bachelor's degree in Fashion Merchandising, Textile and Apparel Management, Business or a related discipline.
  • At least five years of relevant experience in garment sales merchandising, preferably within an apparel manufacturer, buying house or sourcing office.
  • Experience handling European or US customers would be advantageous.
  • Good knowledge of garment construction, fabrics, trims, costing, sampling and production processes.
  • Experience in workwear, uniforms, outdoor wear, performance apparel or personal protective clothing would be an advantage.
  • Proficiency in Mandarin is required to communicate effectively with the production team and business counterparts in China.
  • Strong English communication, negotiation and customer-management skills.
  • Willing and able to travel overseas when required.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and capable of maintaining accurate sales and order records.
  • Able to work independently with minimal supervision in a fast-paced and evolving environment.
  • Organised, resourceful, flexible and highly responsible, with a positive and hands-on attitude.
  • Strong team player with good coordination and problem-solving abilities.
