About the opportunity:

You will provide a range of Managed ICT Support advisory duties supporting our clients in Defence and Govt, either on client site or back of office.

We are seeking expressions of interest from experienced Defence Managed ICT Support Specialists to support upcoming Defence contracts in either permanent or contracting engagements. 

You may be responsible for delivering high-quality ICT support services to our clients. You will manage day-to-day operations, ensuring the smooth functioning of client IT systems, resolving technical issues, and providing proactive support to prevent potential problems. This role requires a strong technical background, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.

You could be expected to:

  • Provide first and second-level support for client IT systems, including hardware, software, and network issues.
  • Monitor and maintain client IT infrastructure, ensuring optimal performance and availability.
  • Respond to service requests and incidents in a timely and professional manner, adhering to SLAs.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues, escalating to higher-level support when necessary.
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks such as software updates, backups, and system monitoring.
  • Manage user accounts, permissions, and security settings.
  • Collaborate with clients to understand their IT needs and recommend appropriate solutions.
  • Document all support activities, ensuring accurate records are maintained.

Qualifications Relevant To Your Experience.

  • Due to the nature of our work, An Australian Citizen with a current or recently inactive AGSVA clearance is required.
  • Able to multi-task and prioritise workload.
  • Able to show initiative and adaptable to client requirements.
  • Able to build and maintain relationships.
  • Able to manage conflict.
  • A self-starter who takes the initiative with excellent problem-solving skills.
  • A high level of communication both written and verbal.
  • An ability to work either individually or as part of a broader team.
  • Bachelors degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in a managed ICT support role, preferably in a government or defense environment.
  • Strong knowledge of IT infrastructure, including servers, networks, and cloud services.
  • Proficiency in troubleshooting hardware and software issues.
  • Experience with IT service management (ITSM) tools and practices.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with clients and team members.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure.
  • Relevant certifications (e.g., CompTIA A+, Microsoft Certified Professional, ITIL) are highly desirable.
  • A passion for learning and staying updated with the latest industry trends.
