About the Job
As we continue to grow, were seeking a passionate ICT professional to join our team. In this role, you'll provide technical expertise across systems engineering, WINTEL environments, and solutions architecture, supporting our Defence and National Security clients.
This role will see you supporting critical ICT infrastructure (PaaS), automation, deployment services, and contributing to the delivery of secure and innovative technology solutions for our Defence, Government, and Industry partners. Based on site at our Penrith HQ, you will play a key role in supporting and enhancing secure ICT environments in a collaborative and dynamic team.
Responsibilities & Duties:
- Solutions architecture.
- Operating system build design (SOE), including Windows Deployment Services (WDS).
- PaaS build and systems imaging.
- Manage and or deploy Defence applications.
- Scripting and automating application installation and customisation using tools such as PowerShell.
- Maintaining configuration management approaches including documentation.
- Providing security updates through effective patching application.
- Monitoring and performance management reporting.
- User support (Helpdesk) and maintenance.
- Disaster recovery and backup.
- Documentation and Knowledge Management.
- Communication of change impacts, at the enterprise and operational levels.
Qualifications:
A relevant qualification in ICT such as:
- Certifications in Microsoft technologies (Windows Server, SQL), VMware (VCP).
- Certifications in networking technologies such as CompTIA Network+, Security+, or Cisco (CCNA).
- ITIL certification.
Experience:
- ICT Systems Engineering, WINTEL, or Solutions Architecture.
- Scripting and PowerShell automation.
- Imaging and Windows Deployment Services (WDS).
- Understanding of Project management methodologies (Nice to have, but not mandatory).
- Familiarity with Defence security frameworks including:
- Information Security Manual (ISM).
- Defence Security Principles Framework (DSPF).
- Protective Security Policy Framework (PSPF).
Were looking for someone who
- Australian citizen (Due to nature of Defence work) Has an inactive or reinstatable Negative Vetting 2 (NV2) security clearance.
- Veterans highly regarded (such as ex CISCON, CISTECH, CIS-I, Information Systems Tech).
- Communicates clearly and confidently both written and verbal.
- Is highly organised with strong attention to detail.
- Builds positive relationships and manages stakeholders effectively.
- Works well independently and takes initiative.
- Can manage competing priorities and meet deadlines.
- Adapts easily to change and works well in a team environment.
- Can work onsite from Penrith HQ.
