About The Role:

Integrated Broadcast Services (IBS) provide Systems engineering within CASGs engineering management system to deliver effective sustainment of products and projects:

Key Responsibilities:

  • Contribute to the development and maintenance of Product bespoke Engineering Management Plans (EMP).
  • Develop planning artefacts within the JC4S Engineering Management System which define the Products Engineering Management System, to be developed and maintained with guidance of the current ASDEFCON (Support) DID-ENG-MGT-CEMP document and ASDEFCON (Support) DID-ENG-MGT-SEMP-2. (with subordinate plans as required).
  • Execute plans in line with Product Schedule and endorsed Work Take On agreements and existing contractual arrangements

About You:

  • Identification of Product Engineering function scope, roles, skills, Technical Authority level, responsibilities and effort for each Product team engineering process to achieve scheduled Product releases, taking into account factors including:
  • Scheduled BAU activity to events or milestones including CDRL review (MSTDT), System Safety Working Groups, budget negotiation (Defence Management Financial Plan), processes with the required/associated system reviews (Change Boards) or working groups.
  • Disaster recovery, incidents, failures or outages affecting System reliability and/or availability.
  • Reviewing and providing of assurance that Contract Data Requirements List (CDRL) deliverables (MSTDT) and Product deliverables (Work Packages) received from vendors for the Products are Safe, Fit for purpose and environmentally compliant in accordance (IAW) the agreed to schedule.
  • Ensuring that product baseline with a correct configuration baseline with associated technical data (including ILS and related logistics factors) is maintained and delivered on the agreed to schedule with JC2 SPO Product Executive Authority and Capability Manager (where required).
  • Engagement and conformance with Stakeholder Configuration Change boards (including DDG boards for ICT releases) are engaged with and conformed without compromising the Product baseline.
  • Defining and providing an effective System Safety Management System, including conduct of regular System Safety Working Groups.
  • Incorporation Workforce attributes required to include but not limited to security clearance required, roles, skills, qualifications, competency, experience responsibilities and accountabilities to achieve E&T outcomes to include obtaining and maintaining Technical Authority, CDRL review, assurance of designs submitted and ability to assure the technical integrity of the Product Configuration Baseline to include Logistics Factors Logistics factors, taking into account all FIC and workforce training requirements.
  • Obsolescence and Growth (Capacity) management are key concepts to be incorporated into planning efforts.
  • Interfaces with other capability systems.
  • The need to adjust to align with changes in Government, Departmental, Capability Manager Requirements.
  • Other tasks as directed.
