About The Role:
This role is about providing project management services and project support services to the Commonwealth.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct planning, scheduling, and estimating of work/tasks to meet Defence requirements.
- Prepare project documentation and/or assist with the review and clearance processes for project documentation.
- Provide advice on the application of project management methodologies for example Agile Project Management (AgilePM), Project Management Methodology Version 2 (PMMv2), and Projects in Controlled Environments (PRINCE-2).
- Manage individual schedules to ensure effective completion of all scheduled task and activities and work with the Plat-IES Scheduler to incorporate changes to the master schedule where required.
- Represent the LRF C4 Mod team, Plat-IES, and SPO as required and contribute to internal and external stakeholder groups on LRF and wider integration-related matters.
- Represent LRF C4 Mod the team to enable transition of finalised engineering designs to platform owners.
- Work with the Engineering and Integrated Logistics Management (ILS) teams to ensure that all project-related documentation and requirements are delivered in line with extant standards, agreements and timeframes.
- Participate in the planning and conduct of test activities and contribute to the test plan, planning conferences, risk management, lessons learned activities and progress reports.
- Participate and share integration expertise to contribute to planning for future work take-on, particularly in relation to resourcing, technical aspects, schedule development and risk.
- Support systems engineers with maintaining engineering authority and baseline of the systems as part of the authorised engineering processes.
- Provide advice to stakeholders including the capability manager, contractors, FIC stakeholders and boards.
- Provide expert project management assistance to Defence executives, managers, staff, and project teams.
- Mentor project staff.
About You:
- Relevant tertiary qualifications or relevant industry and/or domain work experience.
- Knowledge commensurate with the skill level required of relevant Australian and International Standards, regulations, and Defence requirements.
- Hold a Baseline security clearance be willing and able to update to a Negative Vetting 1 (NV1) security clearance.
- Recognised project management professional qualification (e.g. Australian Institute of Project Managers (AIPM).
- Experience with Joint Fires projects or programs.
- Experience in the Land C4 environment and delivery of integrated solutions to Land platforms.
- Current and relevant project management experience within Defence or a similar complex C4 environment.
- Understanding of the content of Project Management Body of Knowledge (PMBOK) and its application.
- Experience or qualifications in AgilePM.
- Understanding of ODCS and FIC.
- Experience in the delivery of Defence projects.
- Already have a NV1 Security Clearance.
