HCC is hiring certified and experienced Risk Adjusted (HCC) Medical Coders to join our dynamic and forward-thinking team. Responsibilities:

• Review and analyze medical documentation to accurately assign appropriate ICD-10 diagnosis codes in compliance with risk adjustment guidelines.
• Ensure precise and complete documentation to optimize risk adjustment factor scores.
• Collaborate with healthcare providers to clarify and validate coding information as needed.
• Maintain a high level of accuracy and productivity while meeting deadlines.
• Stay updated on regulatory changes and guidelines related to risk adjusted coding.

Requirements:

• Certification in medical coding required (e.g., CPC, CCS or equivilent)
• Experience and knowledge of risk adjusted coding and familiarity with HCC (Hierarchical Condition Category) coding methodologies.
• In-depth knowledge of ICD-10 coding guidelines and healthcare terminology.
• Strong understanding of CMS (Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services) guidelines and risk adjustment models.
• Proficiency with leading encoding software and use of leading electronic health records (EHR) systems.
• Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail
