About the job Senior Animator
Key Responsibilities
- Create high-quality animations for characters, environments, and visual effects across various media, including games, films, and advertising.
- Collaborate with the creative team to conceptualize and develop engaging animations that align with the projects artistic vision and storytelling goals.
- Rig characters and objects, ensuring smooth movement and lifelike mechanics.
- Refine and polish animations based on feedback, ensuring they meet production and quality standards.
- Work closely with designers, modelers, and developers to ensure seamless integration of animation assets.
- Stay updated with emerging animation tools, techniques, and trends to enhance creative output.
- Manage multiple projects and mentor junior animators as needed.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Technical Expertise:
- Proficiency in animation software such as Maya, Blender, 3ds Max, or Spine.
- Strong understanding of principles of animation, including timing, weight, and motion dynamics.
- Experience in 2D and 3D animation workflows.
- Knowledge of rigging, skinning, and creating animation-ready assets.
- Creative Expertise:
- Excellent storytelling and visual communication skills.
- Ability to convey emotion and personality through character animation.
- General Skills:
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality work.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with motion capture and integrating data into animation workflows.
- Familiarity with game engines like Unity or Unreal Engine.
- Experience in visual effects (VFX) animation for film or games.
- Knowledge of coding/scripting for animation (e.g., Python, MEL).
- Background in traditional art or illustration.
- Passion for storytelling, gaming, or digital media.
