Key Responsibilities:

  • Create visually compelling character designs based on concept art, briefs, and storytelling requirements.
  • Sculpt, model, and texture high-quality 3D characters for games, animation, or other media.
  • Ensure character models meet technical and artistic requirements, including topology, rigging, and animation constraints.
  • Develop detailed character assets, including clothing, accessories, and props.
  • Work closely with concept artists, animators, and game designers to maintain a consistent art style.
  • Optimize character assets for real-time performance while maintaining visual quality.
  • Stay updated with industry trends and advancements in character modeling and texturing techniques.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Fine Arts, Animation, Game Design, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
  • Proven experience as a Character Artist in the gaming, animation, or film industry.
  • Strong portfolio showcasing character modeling, texturing, and sculpting skills.
  • Proficiency in industry-standard software such as Blender, Maya, ZBrush, Substance Painter, Photoshop, and Unreal Engine/Unity.
  • Understanding of human and creature anatomy, proportions, and animation principles.
  • Experience in creating both stylized and realistic characters.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks effectively.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in rigging and skinning characters.
  • Knowledge of procedural workflows and tools like Houdini.
  • Familiarity with PBR (Physically Based Rendering) workflows.
  • Passion for storytelling and character development.
