Senior Data Engineer

We are looking for a Senior Data Engineer to join our migration project and work with BigQuery on GCP.

🔍 Your Role: Provide guidance and support for the Oracle Exadata to GCP BigQuery migration, ensuring reliability, scalability, and performance.

🤝 Collaboration: Work closely with the client team.

📚 Knowledge: Senior in data engineering, cloud computing and software development.

🛠️ As Senior Data Engineer you will:

• Provide guidance and support for the Oracle Exadata to GCP BigQuery migration, ensuring reliability, scalability, and performance.
• Develop new ETL pipelines to ingest, transform, and load data from various sources into the BiqQuery data warehouse.
• Optimize data storage, processing, and querying using GCP services such as BigQuery, Cloud Storage, Dataflow, or Dataproc.
• Ensure data quality, consistency, and security throughout the data migration process.
• Evaluate and recommend new technologies, tools, and techniques that can improve the data engineering ecosystem and efficiency.
• Document data engineering processes, procedures, and standards.

What about you?

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience as a Data Engineer or a related role.
• Strong knowledge of data engineering concepts, methodologies, and best practices.
• Experience working with GCP services such as BigQuery, Cloud Storage, Dataflow, Dataform, Dataproc, Pub/Sub, Composer.
• Experience with data modeling, schema design, and GCP database technologies.
• Experience with ETL tools and frameworks such as Apache Beam, Apache Airflow, Apache Kafka, Apache Spark. Apache NiFi
• Experience with programming languages such as Python or Java
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills.
• Excellent communication, collaboration, and teamwork skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

🎓Preferred Qualifications and Certification:

• Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field
• Experience with migration projects in GCP
• Experience with Oracle Exadata
• Experience in dealing with large volumes of data
• Experience with data automation and orchestration technologies
• Strong knowledge of data modeling techniques
• Google Cloud Certified - Professional Data Engineer
• Google Cloud Certified - Professional Cloud Architect
