This role owns the full device lifecycle strategy - from activation to retirement. Devices are long-term operational assets. This role ensures asset utilization, refurbishment strategy, remote troubleshooting, and unit economics are structured and measurable.
Responsibilities:

Define the device lifecycle framework including maximum usage years, failure thresholds, refurbishment vs scrap logic, and replacement criteria.

Establish remote troubleshooting and reboot protocols to resolve device issues before physical retrieval and reduce unnecessary replacements.

Track device performance, failure patterns, and asset utilization to improve operational efficiency.

Build device lifecycle cost models and identify hardware margin leakage.

Design and manage reverse logistics and refurbishment processes, including inspection and redeployment logic.

Partner cross-functionally with Product, Finance, Sales, AI/Data, and Operations teams to improve device diagnostics, asset economics, and replacement policies.
Requirements:

8–12 years experience in hardware operations, device lifecycle management, or asset management.

Experience with reverse logistics, refurbishment, or hardware recovery processes.

Strong analytical and financial modeling skills.

Ability to design structured operational frameworks and decision trees.

Comfortable working cross-functionally across product, operations, and finance teams.

Structured, analytical, commercially aware, and pragmatic in execution.
