Data Analytics Manager (BukuWarung)

Role Summary

We are hiring a Data Analytics Manager to accelerate BukuWarung's next phase of growth across lending, EDC, and retail products, where decision-making today remains fragmented across teams and data sources.

This role will be critical in establishing a clear single source of truth, improving decision speed, and driving measurable business impact. You will lead a team of analysts while remaining hands-on, working closely with Product, Engineering, Risk, Marketing, and Operations to solve high-impact business problems.

Key Responsibilities:

Business Impact & Stakeholder Partnership (Primary Focus)

  1. Partner with Product, Risk, Marketing, and Operations to define key metrics, targets, and success criteria.
  2. Translate ambiguous business problems into structured analytical approaches and actionable recommendations.
  3. Own analytics outcomes across lending, EDC, and retail, with clear accountability for business impact.
    1. Drive insights and decisions across:
      1. Lending (credit risk, underwriting, PD drivers).
      2. EDC performance (TPV, device utilization).
      3. Growth funnels (CAC, LTV, conversion, retention).

Team Leadership & Analytics Strategy

  1. Lead and mentor a team of Data Analysts, setting a high bar for analytical rigor and business impact.
  2. Define team priorities, allocate resources, and manage trade-offs across competing requests.
  3. Build a strong analytics culture focused on ownership, clarity, and decision-making impact.
  4. Establish best practice in: 
    1. Problem structuring
    2. Experimentation
    3. Data storytelling

Analytics & Experimentation

  1. Guide and review analytical work, ensuring quality and business relevance.
  2. Ensure insights are translated into clear actions and measurable outcomes, not just reports.
  3. Design and oversee:
    1. Funnel analysis (activation, retention, monetization)
    2. A/B testing and geo-lift experiments.
    3. Cohort and segmentation analysis.

Data Infrastructure & Governance

  1. Work closely with Engineering/Data teams to ensure scalable and reliable data system.
  2. Define requirements and roadmap for: 
    1. Data marts (BigQuery), 
    2. Transformation layer (dbt), 
    3. Metrics standardization (single source of truth)
  3.  Drive improvements in:
    1. Data quality and consistency.
    2. Self-serve analytics adoption.
    3. Documentation and data discoverability.

Hands-on Contribution (Player-Coach Expectation)

  1. Stay close to the data by being hands-on in high-priority or complex analyses.
  2. Review and guide SQL, dashboards, and analytical outputs produced by the team.
  3. Step in when needed to unblock business problems or ambiguous analysis.

Note: This role is expected to be hands-on for high-impact work, while primarily focusing on driving team output and business outcomes rather than individual execution

Requirements:

Must-have 

  • 5-7 years in Data Analytics / BI / Product Analytics
  • 1-2 years managing a team
  • Strong SQL
  • Experience in fintech / lending/ payments / marketplace
  • Strong stakeholder management (Product, Biz, Risk)

Good-to-have

  • Experience with:
    • dbt
    • Mixpanel / Amplitude
    • Experimentation frameworks
  • Knowledge of:
    • Credit risk / underwriting
    • Marketing analytics (CAC, LTV, attribution)
  • Python Scripting
