As AVP, Data Integration you will be responsible for developing and maintaining data integration solutions which support Bank Data Strategy. In this role, you will act as a problem-solver who can understand business requirements while developing and maintaining ETL/ELT processes and data management solutions. As a member of a Data Engineering Team, you will provide technical leadership to reliably deliver on assigned tasks while supporting and mentoring less experienced colleagues. You will demonstrate exceptional customer service, solutioning, planning, teamwork, and organization skills. You will work independently, yet collaboratively, to fulfill assigned objectives.

Essential Job Functions

  • Oversees and maintains existing data workflows and data management solutions while supporting the addition of other business-focused solutions.
  • Apply knowledge of data modeling, ELT/ETL methodologies, and database architecture in work processes and deliverables.
  • Develop and demonstrate understanding of enterprise data architecture, data platforms, and data operations.
  • Proactively resolve bugs and data issues as identified by product management, project management, or governance functions
  • Provide level of effort data integration development estimates while proactively managing and communicating scope or delivery changes.
  • Adhere to data development standards and controls to minimize inherent risks during data development assignments.
  • Collaborate with Data Assurance team to supporting data testing processes.
  • Actively engage and learn the business processes of the assigned data solution.
  • Support change control and version management.
  • Assess functional requirements in a timely and efficient manner to create and maintain data solutions which fit within data engineering architecture patterns and standards.
  • Actively engage in and learn the business processes of the supported lines of business.
  • Keep apprised of technological innovation and constantly improve through training while mentoring line of business or technology colleague data skills.
  • Enthusiastically embrace, support, and model the Banks values and mission.
  • May lead and supervise other related positions.
  • Regularly exercises discretion and judgment in the performance of essential job functions.

  • Knowledge of data integration skills sets to create and maintain data solutions.
  • Ability to maintain focus for sustained time periods to deliver on individual or multiple assigned tasks.

  • Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing and interact with all levels of employees.
  • Ability to demonstrate effective analytical, logistical, organizational, and critical thinking skills.
  • Ability to manipulate and interpret data (typically regarding equipment/hardware, software, systems, etc.) in a manner that is observable, quantifiable, and/or measurable.

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree in job-related field, or commensurate work experience, required.
  • 4+ years of experience in database integration development, required.
  • 2+ years of experience in reporting technologies such as Power BI, SSRS, and/or Tableau, required.
  • 2+ years of experience in data modeling, data lakes, and data warehousing development processes, preferred.
  • Experience in Jira, Azure Devops, or similar development management environment, preferred.
  • Experience with Snowflake Cloud Data Platform and/or Talend, preferred but not required.
