Senior BI Developer

Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced BI Developer with expertise in Power BI, SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS), and ETL processes. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining robust data solutions to transform data into meaningful insights that support strategic business decisions. This role requires strong analytical skills, a deep understanding of data warehousing principles, and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain Power BI dashboards, reports, and data models to support business analytics and decision-making.
• Should be experience with SSRS and TSQL, Power Query, MDX, PowerBI, and DAX are just a few of the tools and systems on the MS SQL Server BI Stack.
• Design and implement efficient ETL processes to extract, transform, and load data from various sources into data warehouses or data marts.
• Create dynamic and eye-catching dashboards and reports using Power BI.
• Integrate data, alter data, and connect to data sources for business intelligence.
• Design and map data models to transform raw data into insightful information.
• Optimize data flows and improve data quality, integrity, and performance across the BI ecosystem.
• Collaborate with business analysts, data architects, and stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
• Perform data analysis and troubleshoot data-related issues, providing timely resolutions.
• Develop and maintain technical documentation, including data flow diagrams, design specifications, and user guides.
• Mentor and guide junior developers on best practices and development standards.

Qualifications:

• Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
• 3+ years of experience in business intelligence, data warehousing and analytics.
• Advanced proficiency in Power BI, including DAX, Power Query, and data modeling techniques.
• Expertise in developing reports with SSRS, including advanced parameterization and visualization techniques.
• Proven experience designing and building ETL solutions with tools such as SSIS, ADF etc.
• Solid understanding of relational databases, data warehouse architecture, and dimensional modeling.
• Strong SQL skills, including performance tuning and query optimization.
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Preferred Skills:

• Experience with PowerBI, SSIS and Azure Data Factory.
• Familiarity with DevOps practices for BI environments.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Fabric and Azure technologies.
• Knowledge of other visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Qlik) is a plus.
• Knowledge of AI/ML is a plus
