Business Development Manager/Director
The client, a Premier Market Intelligence firm is seeking a Business Development Manager/Director who will focus on selling the company’s research products and custom solutions to AP Financial
Services companies in the asset management industry including hedge funds, mutual funds, and other investment firms. This position will report to the GVP Enterprise Financial Sales, with the regional sponsor being the GVP AP Sales & Marketing.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITES:
- As a member of a global collaborative sales team, the Business Development Manager AP FSI will be responsible for developing an in-depth knowledge of the company’s products and services, as well as building strong relationships with individuals across the organisation.
- The Business Development Manager/Director will work with global sales colleagues and will be responsible for learning and articulating the value proposition that the company brings to the global financial community.
- The incumbent will prospect for new business opportunities, follow up on proposal generation, respond to client requests for information and/or problems, and continue to enhance the company’s brand.
- This position will be responsible for selling new business into the hedge fund, mutual fund, and buy side investment firms.
- The Business Development Manager will primarily sell Tech Investor products but would be able to sell all of the company’s products and services if appropriate.
ESSENTIAL SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:
- Requirements for the position included demonstrated sales success, along with strong written, analytical, and verbal communication skills.
- The ideal candidate will possess an outstanding interpersonal skill set and passion for developing new business revenue and developing high level relationships.
- Additionally, this person will be entrepreneurial, motivated, assertive, and collaborative, as well as be a self-starter and a quick-thinker.
- This position requires strong time management and organization skills.
- Prior market research industry sales experience and knowledge of the financial services investment ecosystem is highly desirable.
- MBA is helpful but not required.
- This position is based out of Singapore.
