Role Description

CatalyzeX is looking for a remote Bilingual Paralegal (Spanish/English) to join our legal team. In this role, you will play a vital part in maintaining the smooth operation of the legal department. You will be responsible for managing case files, coordinating discovery, reviewing medical records, and providing administrative and client support. Working under the guidance of a Senior Paralegal and attorneys, you will help ensure the accuracy and efficiency of case processes.

Key Responsibilities 

  • Document Management: Organize, maintain, and secure both electronic and physical legal documents.
  • Discovery Coordination: Prepare, request, and review discovery materials under supervision.
  • Medical Record Review: Obtain, analyze, and summarize medical records for case preparation.
  • Case Management: Ensure accurate and up-to-date case data in the legal system.
  • Administrative Support: Manage phone calls, emails, calendars, and assist with meeting scheduling.
  • Pleadings & Correspondence: Draft, file, and process legal documents and pleadings as assigned.
  • Client Communication: Serve as a secondary point of contact for clients, providing updates and addressing inquiries.

Qualifications

  • Strong American accent with excellent English communication skills (spoken and written).
  • Bilingual: Spanish proficiency is required; must be based in Brazil or Latin America.
  • Knowledge of legal procedures, case management, and document handling.
  • Exceptional organizational and multitasking abilities.
  • Proficiency with legal case management software.
  • Ability to thrive both independently and as part of a collaborative team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Background in workers' compensation required
  • Background in personal injury law is a plus but not required.

Compensation: $6 to $7 per hour (Negotiable DOE)
Working Hours: Eastern or Pacific Time Zone
