Sr Electrical Engineer

Brighton Solutions, a leader in Engineering, Technical and Professional Search, is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer to join a well-established Engineering Consulting Firm supporting engagements in Northwest Indiana and the greater Chicagoland region.

In this role, you will be supporting a broad range of activities including:

• Leading and executing on projects across the electrical engineering group including conceptualization and design to installation engineering services, estimating, equipment specification, detailed design, equipment inspection and field installation
• You will be involved with considerable client interaction.
• Performing calculations for power distribution systems for industrial buildings and structures.
• Work with AC and DC motors as well as the installation and configuration of VFDs.
• Work with Low/Medium voltage parameters. High voltage knowledge an added plus (60kV, 139kV, and 345kV).
• Perform power system evaluations and analysis - Utility distribution and substation work required.

In performing this role, we are seeking individuals that have the following qualifications:

• A minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline, a Master's would be a plus
• 10+ years professional experience
• Experience with Utilities, Hard industries such as Steel Manufacturing, Oil refineries, or related areas.
• A Professional Engineer certification is required, preferably in both Indiana and Illinois.
• Some Field work will be required
• Must be detail orientated.
• Good verbal and written communication skills with the ability to collaborate with other team members and prepare reports.
