Brighton Solutions is a leader in Engineering and Technical Search. We are currently seeking an Engineer, Structural preferred, but we will also consider civil or mechanical engineers, to join an exciting young company. 

In this role, you will be involved in the design process, solving problems/creating solutions, and you will develop into a subject matter expert in this area. Furthermore, this role offers plenty of opportunity for growth, including greater involvement in operations management.

This organization works closely with Architects, Engineers, EHS professionals, Building Owners, Property Managers, General Contractors, and others benefitting from fall protection. Within the role itself, you will be designing fall protection systems for safe integration into existing buildings or new builds by providing calculations, detailing attachment methods, and evaluating onsite constraints.

Furthermore, you will help identify and correct fall protection hazards. In this role, we are seeking an individual that is capable of providing

  • Internal and external customers can go to for design and engineering support
  • Support across multiple industries and has or can gain a strong understanding of existing OSHA rules and regulations
  • Can be consult on upcoming projects, sharing product knowledge within the industry
  • Ability to design complex fall protection systems using fundamental structural engineering principles. Where necessary, visiting client sites to gather data and identify safety issues requiring engineering support.
  • Ability to access locations at height, climb ladders/scaffolding, use personal fall protection systems, and wear additional personal protective equipment, as required in different types of environments.
  • Understanding OSHA/ANSI fall protection standards
  • Responsible for maintaining technical knowledge through completion of various training initiatives: attending seminars, reviewing professional publications, attending in-house systems/management training

Your education and experience should include:

  • A bachelor's degree in engineering or safety. A master's in a related field is a plus
  • Licensed engineer - Professional Engineer (PE) or Fundamentals in Engineering (FE / EIT) designation preferred
  • A background in Structural Engineering preferred, but Civil and Mechanical Engineering would also be considered
  • 5+ years engineering experience. Experience in new and existing buildings: Timber, Steel, Concrete or other
