  • Maintain accurate project documentation, including photographs, measurements, test records, and progress updates.
  • Assist with preparing technical reports, test summaries, and supporting documentation.
  • Track project milestones, schedules, and outstanding tasks to help ensure timely completion.
  • Review project specifications and testing requirements to help identify materials, equipment, and resources needed.
  • Communicate project updates and potential issues to engineers, project managers, and other personnel.
  • Participate in identifying opportunities to improve testing procedures, project workflows, and laboratory efficiency.

What We're Looking For

  • Experience in construction, carpentry, framing, fabrication, mechanical maintenance, building materials testing, or a related hands-on technical environment.
  • Ability to safely and confidently operate hand tools, power tools, and construction equipment.
  • Ability to read and understand construction drawings, blueprints, or technical specifications.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Comfortable using computers for documentation, data entry, reporting, and project tracking.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with engineers, technicians, and project management personnel.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and a willingness to learn new technical processes.

  • High school diploma or GED required. Additional education or training in construction management, engineering technology, industrial technology, or a related field is a plus.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in a construction testing, manufacturing, fabrication, engineering, or laboratory environment.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Excel, Word, or project management software.
  • Experience preparing work reports, inspection documentation, or technical records.
  • Exposure to construction quality control, building codes, or testing standards.

Physical Requirements

  • Frequent standing, walking, bending, kneeling, and reaching.
  • Comfortable working around construction materials, machinery, and laboratory testing equipment.
