About the job Installation Technician

Skylight Installer / Installation Technician

Employment Type: Full-Time
Service Area: Primarily Massachusetts, New Hampshire and southern Maine.

About the Opportunity

Brighton Solutions is partnering with a well-established skylight installation company serving homeowners throughout Southern New Hampshire and the surrounding region to identify full-time Skylight Installers / Installation Technicians.

This is a strong opportunity for someone who enjoys hands-on work, takes pride in craftsmanship, and likes seeing the finished result of what they build. Previous roofing, carpentry, construction, window installation, or remodeling experience is welcome, but prior skylight experience is not required. The company is willing to train motivated individuals who have the right attitude, mechanical aptitude, and desire to learn a skilled trade.

Because the majority of installations are in residential properties, the ideal candidate will also be professional, dependable, respectful, and comfortable interacting with homeowners. You'll be working for a specialist company that focuses exclusively on skylight installation, replacement, repair, framing, cut-ins, and related residential services.

What You'll Do

  • Assist with and perform residential skylight installations, replacements, and repairs.
  • Work on residential roofing systems while following established installation and safety procedures.
  • Remove existing skylights and prepare openings for replacement units.
  • Assist with framing, flashing, sealing, weatherproofing, and finishing work.
  • Install skylights and related components according to manufacturer and company standards.
  • Safely use ladders, hand tools, power tools, and installation equipment.
  • Protect customers' homes and property throughout the installation process.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and professional jobsite.
  • Communicate professionally with homeowners and answer basic questions regarding the work being performed.
  • Work closely with other installers to complete projects efficiently and correctly.
  • Maintain company tools, equipment, and materials.
  • Learn installation methods and product systems through hands-on training.

What We're Looking For

We're open to candidates at different stages of their careers.

Experienced candidates may have backgrounds in:
roofing, carpentry, remodeling, window or door installation, siding, general construction, or other residential trades.

Entry-level candidates should bring:
a strong work ethic, willingness to learn, comfort working with tools, reliability, and an interest in developing a skilled trade career.

Candidates should also be:

  • Comfortable working on ladders and residential roofs.

  • Professional and courteous when working in and around customers' homes.
  • Able to work effectively as part of a small installation team.
  • Safety-conscious.
  • Able to travel locally to customer jobs throughout New England, but primarily in southern New Hampshire, eastern Massachusetts and southern Maine.

Tools & Equipment

Company tools and installation equipment are provided, allowing installers to focus on learning the trade and performing quality work rather than purchasing an extensive set of equipment upfront.
