Job Purpose: 

The Senior Analyst - Strategy plays a key role in supporting organizational tourism strategy and development through analyzing market trends, assessing opportunities, and leveraging insights. This role is essential in driving the development and implementation of strategic tourism initiatives aimed at advancing the destinations tourism offerings.

Working closely with both internal and external stakeholders, the Sr. Analyst - Strategy ensures that strategic projects, research activities, and financial analyses align with the organizations mission, vision, and strategic objectives. With a strong emphasis on developing business cases for tourism-related advancements, the role contributes significantly to achieving organizational goals, meeting performance metrics, and enhancing the destinations position as a premier tourism location.

Key Departments and Functions

  • Collaborate on the preparation of stakeholder reporting content, including presentations for leadership meetings, executive committees, and other organizational forums.
  • Engage with various departments to gather insights and data to ensure accurate and effective reporting.
  • Support in preparing budget presentations, ensuring alignment with strategic priorities.
  • Maintain direct communication with leadership to align on key priorities, project milestones, and deliverables.

External

Consultants, Industry Experts, Educational Institutions, Government Entities, and Partners

  • Manage timelines and deliverables for outsourced projects, including payments and coordination with consultants.
  • Engage with stakeholders in sustainability programs, ensuring compliance, organizing workshops, and providing necessary support.
  • Collaborate with external entities on inter-departmental projects, particularly in areas like sustainability and destination development.
  • Foster relationships with research firms, hotels, and industry experts to remain updated on global tourism trends and benchmarks.
  • Coordinate visitor satisfaction surveys, ensuring target completion and timely delivery of insights.

Qualifications, Experience & Skills

Educational Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Management, International Business, Hospitality Management, or a related field is preferred.

Experience

  • At least 5 years of experience in strategy, planning, analysis, or similar functions, preferably within tourism, hospitality, or management consulting.
  • Strong knowledge of global tourism trends, destination branding, and hospitality industry dynamics is advantageous.
  • Proficiency in financial modeling and metrics such as IRR, NPV, and Payback Period is required.
  • Proven track record of managing projects from inception to completion, ensuring alignment with timelines and milestones.
  • Expertise in market research, competitive benchmarking, and creating detailed reports for senior leadership.
  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint for analysis, modeling, and presentations.
  • Strong analytical capabilities with the ability to interpret complex data, identify trends, and recommend actionable strategies.

Additional Requirements

  • Strong oral and written communication skills in English (proficiency in other languages is an advantage).
  • Demonstrated ability to adapt to evolving business needs, emerging trends, and shifting priorities.
  • Proficiency in digital tools and software to facilitate collaboration and enhance efficiency.
