About the job Business Development Director (Telecommunications Industry)
Requirements:
-Minimum of 7 years of experience in the SMS industry with a focus on business development and negotiations.
-Proven track record of successfully negotiating interconnect agreements with mobile operators and direct agreements with OTTs.
-In-depth understanding of the telecommunications industry, particularly in the MEA region.
-Strong communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
-Willingness to travel as needed to engage with potential partners and stakeholders.
-Active participation in telecom conferences and industry events.
-Fluency in English; knowledge of additional languages is a plus.
-Possession of a foreign passport is highly desirable.
Responsibilities:
-Identify and engage potential mobile operators in the MEA region for SMS interconnect negotiations.
-Establish and maintain relationships with key stakeholders within target mobile operators.
-Lead negotiations for favorable interconnect agreements, ensuring mutually beneficial terms and conditions.
-Direct Agreements with OTTs: Identify and approach relevant OTT service providers for potential direct agreements related to SMS services. / o Negotiate and finalize agreements with OTTs, focusing on achieving favorable terms and expanding business opportunities.
-Conduct market research and analysis to identify trends, competition, and potential business opportunities in the SMS industry within the MEA region.
-Develop and implement effective business strategies to optimize growth and revenue generation.
-Actively attend and participate in telecom conferences and industry events relevant to SMS and telecommunications.
-Network with industry professionals, potential partners, and stakeholders to enhance industry knowledge and build beneficial relationships.
-Collaborate closely with internal teams, including product development, marketing, and legal, to align business objectives and ensure seamless implementation of agreements.
-Provide input and insights to improve products and services based on market feedback and competitive intelligence.
-Ensure compliance with industry regulations and legal requirements related to interconnect agreements and OTT partnerships.
-Work closely with the legal department to review and finalize contracts, ensuring they meet necessary legal standards and organizational policies.
