About the job Finance Officer
Description of Duties and Responsibilities of Finance Officer:
1. Support the Finance Manager with projects' financial operations and tasks when required.
2. Assist in the preparation of budgets and cash flows according to related policies and procedures
3. Consolidate & analyze financial data (budgets, forecasts...etc)
4. Prepare periodic forecasts of funding needs, financial reports and summaries for the Lebanon branch
5. Maintain and develop the monthly internal financial reports of all ongoing projects.
6. Assist in the development and preparation of donor's financial reports
7. Assist in the development of financial reports to the Lebanese authorities and ensure compliance with
Lebanese laws (annual statements, annual budget, VAT, taxes, NSSF...etc)
8. Contribute to donors' spotcheck/ verification visits or audits
9. Review of monthly project's accounts, maintain records and ensure financial records of all projects are
kept up-to-date with the latest transactions and changes
10. Assist the periodic financial analysis to detect and resolve problems
11. Maintain the salaries and operational costs trackers on monthly basis

13. Assemble and summarize data into reports that are easy to read and review
14. Analyze financial data such as budget vs actual spend by program
15. Reconcile bank accounts and track specific supplier's payments
16. Ensure the correct budget is posted in the accounting system
17. Prepares internal financial reports and reports to internal parties and supervisor
18. Executes periodic donor reports
19. Provides outside auditors with assistance; gathers necessary account information and documents to
perform annual audit.
20. Participate in and support the weekly finance team meetings with the entire team members and area
coordinators to improve productivity and evaluate how accounting procedures are implemented
21. Ensure confidentiality of financial information and plans
22. Other duties as assigned by supervisor
Qualifications:
1. Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or relevant field. Certification in the finance field is a must (CPA,
CMA, CFA, IFRS ... etc)
2. A minimum of 5 to 7 years experience in a similar role. NGO experience is a plus
3. Experience in creating financial statements.
4. Experience using financial software
5. Advanced Google sheets & MS Excel skills
6. In-depth knowledge of financial regulations and accounting processes
7. Outstanding analytical and time management skills
8. Strong attention to details
9. Excellent written and verbal communication skills
10. Comprehensive knowledge of concepts, practices, and procedures with accounting, financial controls and
financial information systems
