Job Openings 3d Modeler

About the job 3d Modeler

Job Overview: As a 3D Modeler specializing in furniture design, you will be responsible for creating detailed and visually appealing three-dimensional models of furniture pieces. Your role involves translating conceptual designs and sketches into digital models, ensuring accuracy, realism, and functionality. Collaboration with designers, engineers, and other stakeholders will be essential to meet project requirements and deadlines.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Model Creation: Develop high-quality 3D models of furniture items, including chairs, tables, sofas, cabinets, and other furnishings, based on provided specifications, sketches, or reference images.
  2. Detailing and Texturing: Apply appropriate textures, materials, and finishes to models to achieve realistic and aesthetically pleasing results. Ensure accurate representation of fabric patterns, wood grains, metal finishes, and other surface properties.
  3. Scale and Proportion: Maintain proper scale and proportion in all models to ensure compatibility with real-world dimensions and ergonomic standards. Pay close attention to detail to accurately depict intricate features and design elements.
  4. Optimization: Optimize models for efficient rendering and use in various applications, considering factors such as polygon count, file size, and performance requirements. Strive for a balance between visual fidelity and performance.
  5. Rendering: Generate high-quality renderings of furniture models using rendering software such as V-Ray, Corona Renderer, or similar tools. Experiment with lighting, camera angles, and composition to produce compelling visual presentations.
  6. Feedback Incorporation: Collaborate closely with designers, engineers, and clients to incorporate feedback and revisions into 3D models. Iterate on designs as necessary to achieve desired outcomes and address any concerns or issues.
  7. Quality Assurance: Conduct thorough quality assurance checks on completed models to ensure accuracy, integrity, and adherence to project standards. Identify and resolve any errors, artifacts, or inconsistencies in the models before final delivery.
  8. Documentation: Maintain organized project files and documentation, including version control, naming conventions, and metadata. Provide clear documentation of modeling processes, techniques, and specifications for reference purposes.
  9. Stay Updated: Keep abreast of industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in 3D modeling, rendering, and visualization techniques. Continuously enhance skills and knowledge through self-learning and professional development opportunities.
