Position Overview: As the Maintenance Operations Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of maintenance operations within our company. You will act as a contractor, employing your managerial skills to ensure that maintenance, cleanliness, safety, and preventative measures are meticulously followed to maintain our facilities and uphold our standards of excellence.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage the maintenance team, providing guidance, support, and training as needed to ensure high performance and productivity.
  • Develop and implement maintenance plans and schedules to address repair, renovation, and preventative maintenance needs in a timely and cost-effective manner.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for all maintenance-related matters, liaising with internal stakeholders and external contractors to coordinate activities and resolve issues.
  • Conduct regular inspections of facilities to identify maintenance requirements, safety hazards, and cleanliness standards, taking appropriate action to address any deficiencies.
  • Implement and enforce safety protocols and procedures to create a safe working environment for all employees and visitors.
  • Oversee the procurement of maintenance supplies, equipment, and services, ensuring cost-effectiveness and adherence to quality standards.
  • Monitor and analyze maintenance performance metrics, identifying opportunities for improvement and implementing strategies to optimize efficiency and reduce downtime.
  • Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation of maintenance activities, expenses, inventory levels, and compliance with regulatory standards.
  • Stay informed about industry best practices, technological advancements, and regulatory requirements related to maintenance operations, incorporating relevant changes into departmental policies and procedures.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in a maintenance management role, preferably within the furniture or manufacturing industry.
  • Strong leadership and managerial skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team to achieve common goals.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities, with the capacity to collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders.
  • Thorough understanding of maintenance principles, safety regulations, and cleanliness standards, with a commitment to upholding best practices.
  • Proficiency in project management, including planning, organizing, and prioritizing tasks to meet objectives within established timelines and budgets.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify issues, develop solutions, and make data-driven decisions.
  • Bachelor's degree in facilities management, engineering, business administration, or a related field is preferred.
  • Certification in maintenance management, project management, or a relevant discipline is an asset.
