Job Summary:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Accountant to join our finance team. The Accountant will be responsible for managing financial records, preparing financial reports, performing audits, and ensuring compliance with financial regulations. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, excellent attention to detail, and a thorough understanding of accounting principles.

Key Responsibilities:

• Financial Reporting:
  • Prepare accurate and timely financial statements, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
  • Assist in the preparation of budgets and forecasts.
  • Analyze financial data to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for cost savings.
• General Ledger Maintenance:
  • Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts.
  • Ensure all financial transactions are recorded accurately and in compliance with accounting standards.
  • Perform month-end and year-end closing procedures.
• Accounts Payable & Receivable:
  • Manage the accounts payable and receivable processes, including invoice processing, payments, and collections.
  • Reconcile accounts and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner.
• Tax Compliance:
  • Prepare and file tax returns, ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local tax regulations.
  • Assist with tax planning and ensure timely payments of all tax obligations.
• Audit & Compliance:
  • Support internal and external audits by providing necessary documentation and explanations.
  • Ensure compliance with financial regulations and internal policies.
  • Identify areas for improvement in financial processes and implement solutions.
• Payroll Management:
  • Assist in processing payroll and ensuring accurate and timely payment of employee salaries.
  • Handle payroll-related tax filings and ensure compliance with employment laws.

Qualifications:

• Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• CPA or CMA certification is a plus.
• Proven experience as an accountant or in a similar role.
• Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, Oracle).
• Strong knowledge of GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles).
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
