Job Title: Accountant

Job Purpose: Assist management in making informed financial decisions by verifying, allocating, posting, and reconciling financial transactions, ensuring the accuracy of financial records throughout the year.

Key Responsibilities:
- Record daily accounting transactions using QuickBooks.
- Manage and reconcile financial transactions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and intercompany accounts.
- Reconcile daily cash registers from multiple branches and accurately record respective transactions.
- Assist with month-end duties, including accruals, prepayments, landed costs, and inventory closures.
- Maintain a proper fixed assets register and depreciation schedule.
- Provide tables and lead sheets necessary for preparing monthly and yearly financial statements.
- Ensure compliance with accounting standards (e.g., IFRS) and company policies.
- Reconcile bank statements and ensure all financial records are up-to-date and accurate.
- Support in preparing budget management, financial forecasting, and analysis.
- Assist with tax filings and audits as needed.
- Prepare reports, tables, and analyses requested by management.
- Maintain payroll for local and expatriate staff, as well as daily wage earners, ensuring accuracy and compliance with legal requirements.
- Other tasks requested by management on need basis.

Required Qualifications: - Bachelors degree in accounting, Finance, or related field.
- 3 to 5 years of proven experience as an accountant.
- Proficiency in accounting software, particularly QuickBooks, is a plus.
- Bilingual: Fluent in both French and English.

Reporting Line:
Reports to the General Manager and the Financial Consultant.
