Position Overview

The Duty-Free Manager is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of duty-free retail stores. This role ensures a high standard of customer service, efficient inventory management, and consistent sales growth while maintaining compliance with applicable regulations. The manager will lead the duty-free team, ensuring operational excellence and maximizing profitability.

Customer and Reporting Responsibilities

  1. Ensure excellent customer service by training and leading staff to deliver a premium shopping experience.

  2. Handle customer inquiries, complaints, and feedback to maintain a high level of customer satisfaction.

  3. Implement promotional campaigns and loyalty programs to boost sales.

Qualifications, Experience, & Skills

Educational Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree in Business Administration, Retail Management, or a related field (preferred)

Professional Qualifications

  • Certifications in Retail or Assistant Management are a plus

Experience

  • 57 years of experience in retail management, preferably in a duty-free or travel retail environment

  • Proficiency in using point-of-sale (POS) systems and inventory management software

  • Strong experience in team leadership and motivation

  • Comply with relevant safety requirements and procedures outlined in organizational safety manuals and management systems

  • Adhere to safety standards provided during training

  • Report any safety occurrence or system failure to the designated authority or immediate supervisor

  • Submit accident/incident reports when applicable

  • Support safety audits and investigations as needed
