Job Summary:

The Head of Cashiers is responsible for overseeing the cashier team, ensuring excellent customer service, accurate transaction processing, and efficient cash handling. This role involves supervising daily operations, training new cashiers, and resolving customer issues. The Head of Cashiers will also work closely with other department heads to ensure smooth store operations and enhance the overall customer experience.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Team Leadership:

    • Supervise and lead the cashier team, ensuring adherence to company policies and procedures.
    • Train new cashiers on POS systems, cash handling, and customer service protocols.
    • Schedule and assign cashier shifts, ensuring adequate coverage during peak hours.
  • Customer Service:

    • Ensure a high level of customer satisfaction by addressing and resolving customer complaints and inquiries.
    • Implement and monitor customer service standards within the cashier team.
  • Cash Handling:

    • Oversee daily cash operations, including cash register reconciliation and bank deposits.
    • Ensure cashiers follow proper procedures for handling cash, credit cards, and other forms of payment.
  • Operational Efficiency:

    • Monitor and manage cashier workflow to minimize wait times and enhance efficiency.
    • Ensure all cash registers and POS systems are functioning correctly and report any technical issues.
  • Reporting and Compliance:

    • Prepare and submit daily, weekly, and monthly reports on cashier performance and sales.
    • Ensure compliance with all financial, operational, and security policies and procedures.
    • Conduct regular audits to ensure accuracy in cash handling and transaction processing.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent; additional education in business administration or related field is a plus.
  • Proven experience in a cashier or customer service role, with at least 2-3 years in a supervisory position.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Excellent customer service and communication abilities.
  • Proficiency in POS systems and basic accounting procedures.
  • Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
  • Ability to handle and resolve conflicts effectively.

Salary : 750$-800$
