Job Summary
The Sales Executive will be responsible for driving revenue growth by identifying new business opportunities, developing corporate and institutional accounts, maintaining strong client relationships, and promoting the hotel's accommodation, dining, conferencing, events, and other hospitality services.
The ideal candidate should have strong B2B sales experience, excellent relationship-building skills, and a good understanding of the Nairobi hospitality and corporate market.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify and develop new business opportunities across corporate, leisure, events, conferencing, and institutional segments.
- Generate sales leads through prospecting, networking, referrals, market visits, and other business development activities.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with corporate clients, travel agencies, event planners, tour operators, and other key partners.
- Promote the hotel's rooms, conference facilities, banqueting, restaurants, and other revenue-generating services.
- Conduct client visits, presentations, property tours, and sales calls to generate business.
- Prepare and follow up on quotations, proposals, contracts, and business opportunities.
- Maintain an active sales pipeline and consistently work towards achieving monthly and annual revenue targets.
- Monitor market trends, competitor activities, pricing, and customer preferences to identify new opportunities.
- Develop and maintain a database of existing and prospective clients.
- Work closely with the reservations, front office, food & beverage, events, and operations teams to ensure smooth delivery of client requirements.
- Attend networking events, trade shows, corporate functions, and industry activities to strengthen the hotel's market presence.
- Prepare regular sales reports covering client visits, leads, conversions, revenue, and pipeline development.
- Maintain high standards of professionalism and customer service throughout the sales process.
Key Requirements
- Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Sales, Marketing, Hospitality Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
- 3+ years of sales experience, preferably within hospitality, hotels, travel, events, or a related service industry.
- Demonstrated experience in B2B and corporate sales.
- Existing relationships within the corporate, events, travel, or hospitality market will be an advantage.
- Proven ability to generate new business and consistently meet sales targets.
- Strong negotiation, presentation, communication, and relationship-management skills.
- Good knowledge of the Nairobi corporate and hospitality market.
- Self-driven, commercially minded, and comfortable working with sales targets.
- Strong follow-up, reporting, and client management skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and common CRM/sales management tools.
